What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quote to a customer, we would like to have the event date, the number of guests, timings of the event, a brief description of the event, and any potential venues they have in mind. From this, we can then provide a more accurate quote of the products requested from us.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for reviews on here or take a look at their social media accounts, to see previous work and venues that the suppliers have worked at. We would offer the possibility of coming to meet us at an open day, other suppliers possibly don't.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
The Prop Boutique is now 3 years old. I was ready to start my business after 20+ years of face to face customer service experience and 12 years in Event Management. I love events and my husband loves making props, so between us we created The Prop Boutique!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Our last event which was booked through Add to Event was a great success, which resulted in us receiving great feedback. We were booked to surprise guests at a summer wedding. They guests enjoyed 3 flavours of delicious ice cream with a flake. We brought in some toppings for children to add. Quick to set-up, rode the ice cream cart in which instantly grabbed guests attention. Absolutely wonderful, thank you so much. I have recommended Add to Event to other industry suppliers and I am very happy with the requests we receive.
