What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To enable us to provide a fully inclusive quote, we require the following information: full address of the venue including postcode, types of services required i.e. ice cream tricycle hire and number of guests you wish us to serve. We will also require additional information, for example access i.e. if there are any steps or restricted access along with set up, serving and breakdown times.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We provide the best quality British built Pashley tricycles, and top quality American popcorn & candy floss machines, which are built for high output events. We would recommend doing some homework on companies, by checking out their website and social media sites to see if they are active with up to date posts and information before booking. We would also recommend calling the business to see if they can answer questions, which is also an indicator that the company provide the services as their sole income job as some businesses provide the services part time and may not have as much experience in the services they provide.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Chilly White started over 6 years ago, with one ice cream tricycle. Now we have over 20 services we provide. Our passion for ice cream and fun foods started 25 years ago, after visiting an ice cream factory where our late grandfather worked. Watching the ice cream lollies being made is when the magic started! After our visit, we set up shop in our kitchen, making our very own ice lollies which we sold to our friends and neighbours.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had some good leads through this platform, which have enabled us to grow as a business. The one booking that stands out from the rest, is the event we did for a big corporate client, in which we provided two ice cream tricycles serving over 1000 guests at their anniversary party. We were surprised when a famous band turned up to play a gig. It was an amazing experience for our staff - a dream come true!
