Here they share more details about their history plus some tips on choosing the right band for your event.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We typically ask an organiser to provide us with a date, venue and location. With these three simple bits of information, we can get an accurate quote over to the organiser straight away. If someone is keen to discuss the finer details of their event we are of course always happy to jump on the phone!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest asking the provider about their previous experience and perhaps for a few examples of similar events they have worked on in the past. I would then ask for some of their thoughts on the event in question - ideas they might have, suggestions, details the customer might have overlooked. Lastly, I would look to arrange a quick phone call. I find that always helps establish whether or not they're the right provider for you!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started out as a session saxophone player, working with many different party and wedding bands. I played at a lot of events all over the country. Soon enough I had people getting in touch asking me to sort out a band for their upcoming event! One thing led to another and I decided to set up Craft Music as a fully-fledged entertainment supplier. Most of the acts on our roster are friends and musicians I have worked with along the way...

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've only just joined the Add To Events platform. I'm hoping to land that first booking any day! I decided to get involved as I loved the idea of being directly connecting with clients throughout the area I work in. It's a great concept for a website - a concept that hopefully makes the whole process of organising an event much simpler! The incoming leads I've had have been fantastic.
