What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

As DJs we like to know about your event in as much appropriate detail as possible, For us to give you the most accurate quote on the spot, I'd personally recommend if you could let us know your budget, the location of your event and the duration of your event and to know whether you want a small, medium or a large setup. We also like to know exactly what your expectations are so we can see if we meet them and how we can incorporate our services in your event as much we can.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I personally wouldn't care about the amount of experience a DJ has or what his setup looks like, If the DJ can get people on the dance floor and get your guests to have a good time then what's wrong with that?
PAT Testing is important though, this makes sure equipment is safe and has no electrical leakage at your event to cause any injury or damage to your guests and the hired building.
Good equipment is expensive so don’t hire the cheapest or be surprised at the cost – DJs have lots of hidden expenses.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I am a 16-year-old entrepreneur who has an Interest in Lighting and Sound. In 2014, I started to buy my equipment which started off being just an amp and 4 LED par cans but then when 2017 came along, I wanted to become mobile and help the public in creating their event more special and entertaining for the guests. In late 2017, I bought my very first public audio system and started to advertise my services on Facebook. I was then greeted by a neighbour of mine which then introduced me to "djing" and tutored me for 3 years. Then I started to get a set up together and now my present set-up has grown and I haven't looked back since due to the support which has been great!
