Based in Cheshire, Raspberry Photobooth specialises in the hiring of magic mirrors and a VW photo booth for all types of events and functions, from weddings to private parties.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Our quotes are primarily based on the timings of the event. We usually quote for packages of two, three or four hours, though we can tailor the package - so it's important to let us know how long our services are needed for. Then, we take into consideration what additional things are needed - we can also offer traditional garden games, a guest book, or can provide photobooth services in the form of our converted 1979 VW camper van.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for a provider who offers a Booth Buddy - someone who stays near the booth to support guests in using the booth or mirror. A large selection of props is definitely a must, as is a personalised photo print background. That way the prints can reflect the theme of the event, and can even show the date and names!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Raspberry Photobooth was created during our own wedding planning process. Searching for a provider with a high quality, friendly and affordable service had us thinking we could do it ourselves! Franck is a professional photographer anyway, and Laura is crazy about weddings (and christenings - she just had a baby!), and this was a natural next step.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a lovely selection of different events through Add to Event. An early favourite was an 80th birthday party, which was a true joy to work at as so many members of the family, over several generations, as well as plenty of friends, came together to have an awful lot of fun at a heartwarming celebration. Our mirror went down a treat and don't let anyone tell you the older generation can't do technology - some of the best shots to come out of the mirror were shots of the birthday girl herself, having an absolute ball!

As it happens, tonight we're off to another Add to Event wedding, and we've been so excited these past weeks to prepare the mirror to match the wishes of the bride and groom! A regal themed wedding, with a floral photo print background, and a prop box stuffed with crowns, tiaras and masquerade masks - and loads more!
