What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for Peckish to provide a comprehensive and bespoke quote tailored to yourself, we would require the event date, type of cuisine (helpful but not necessary), location, expected attendance and the duration of the event. We would also need to know if the event is indoors and outdoors as this can restrict the equipment that is available for use. From there, we can respond and create a personalised quote for yourself that will also include a tailored menu to your event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Here at Peckish we pride ourselves in being honest caterers. We would always advise our clients to be open and expressive about what they want. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Peckish was the brain child of our founder Neil Bellham. Having worked as an international chef and a consultant chef on 5* Safari lodges through to consultant caterer opening up Caribbean beach resorts. After settling down and having children, Neil decided to open Peckish to do for his family what he has been doing for corporations for many years. With nothing more than a dream, an idea, and a £500 overdraft Peckish was born. Using the ethos of amazing food but with a service to match, Peckish has grown month on month, year on year to where it is now. Offering a full range of catering services, from canapés to street food, from fine dining to a fork buffet the Peckish brand and reputation continues to go from strength to strength leaving it the number one choice for clients that want that little bit extra.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

In January 2018 we invested several credits in applying for a space at Lumiere Festival of Light London. We were one of eight traders there, but due to our excellent food and super fast service we were able to serve in excess 500 portions a night. This enabled us to be popular with both the organisers and customers and proved the best investment of 4 credits that one can imagine. Not only would we recommend Add to Event to other caterers but we often do!
