What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to be sure that we are contacting customers that are relevant we need the location of the event along with the number of guests, probably most importantly for us is a customer to specify their budget. Without seeing a budget we have no idea whether we are a suitable company for that particular client and therefore a lot of time could be potentially wasted on both sides.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your research via social media. Social media is a great tool for looking into exactly how a caterer operates. you will find pictures of their set ups along with helpful reviews from previous clients which all go a long way too helping you decide if this is the right person for you.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

A now husband and wife team with quite a number of employees who are both friends and family. We originally entered the hospitality industry 2 decades ago as a way of supporting ourselves when we left school and furthered our studies. We enjoyed it so much that we began to hold our own events as a side line which quickly became our main source of income. We now cater for any event but really enjoy weddings and corporate events. We've a wealth of experience which is priceless in this industry where everything have run like clockwork.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are very new to this platform only been on here a couple of weeks but have already secured many bookings and received good reviews. We are finding it to be a very helpful tool to generate business in what's historically been a slower time of the year for us. At a recent corporate event we secured through the site we were invited to a location in Manchester to help out with a business "health and well being week" we created a healthy options menu for their 300+ staff to come down and try. We spent the whole day there explaining the benefits of the items on the menu which included chicken skewers with a quinoa salad as well as a vegan mushroom masala curry served with bulger wheat and wholegrain rice. The day was a huge success and led to us receiving our first review on Add to Event which was 5 stars and excellent all round.
