What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would need to know if the function is indoor or outdoor. If it's outdoor is their power on-site or do we need to source a power supply, guest arrival time, function end time, plus we can supply a lot of different services so ideally, we would need to know which services are required plus function location (venue name if known).

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always check out any social media outlets as well as websites, always ask questions before you book, make sure they have PLI (public liability insurance) and full PAT testing on their equipment, they should have certificates that prove these.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always had an interest in music from a very young age, when I turned 17 I started working with a local DJ helping out as his 'roadie' helping to set up, take requests during parties and helping take down, after doing this for a year I was working for him doing my own parties and functions under his business name. Then in 2008 I started my own company and since then we have grown bigger than expected and now offer more than just a standard disco.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I'm just currently starting out on Add To Event so not had any bookings as yet but the amount of leads I see is amazing, I can't wait till my first booking through Add To Event.
