What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Basic information, to start with. ie. venue, date and times etc. Ideally I would want as much information as possible about the function although we could discuss this at a later date. I will/can play any type of music so an idea of what you are looking for would be ideal. Finally it would be good if we could discuss the type of equipment and lights that you would require.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your research as to what you are actually looking for. It would not be very wise to pick a DJ who specialises in, for argument's sake, rave and club music for a 70th. birthday or anniversary etc . I always try and open up lines of communication with clients in order to avoid any nasty surprises on the night!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I call myself a "seasoned veteran" because I have been doing this for a very long time. If I didn't love the work then I would stop. I feel that, even at my age, I still have much to offer. I am approachable and easy-going and if you book my services you will find that I am more than happy to go the extra mile to make your evening, or day, a success.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Having only just joined "Add to Event" I haven't a lot to use as an example but already I have done 3 birthday parties, 0ne Christmas party and New Year's Eve. The reviews that I have received were very encouraging for me and they have given me the confidence to carry on. Yes, even with my vast experience and my age I am never cocky or overconfident. After all, as the saying goes, pride quite often comes before a fall!
