Fatboy's Bar provides a mobile bar with a twist! Serving a delicious range of drinks, including their signature cocktails, draught beers, ciders, and ales, fine wines and spirits. They're based in Bristol but happy to travel nationwide, read on for more about how they started and what they do.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event, the estimated number of guests, and the venue, whether its an indoor or outdoor event. With this information, we can start to work out what you will need for your day.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering to see whether it suits your needs. Think about exactly what you want from the bar- drinks menu, aesthetic, staff vibe etc. There are lots of providers out there- find the right one for you!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Fatboy's Bar started from the combined passions of building cool, bespoke creations and the love of a good party! The bar is handcrafted using traditional timber framing techniques and decorated to look like a Caribbean rum shack. Run by a team of dedicated friends, we have never had a disappointed customer- quite the opposite, we make friends along the way!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We provided the bar for a 50th birthday party just outside Bristol, our first booking through Add to Event. It went really well, we've got two more bookings off the back of it with guests from the party. The organiser left us a glowing review which was lovely- good to get off the mark! The Add to Event platform is very easy to use, I have recommended it to a couple of catering friends I know.
