What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order for us to provide an accurate and comprehensive quote, we will need the following details: Number of guests, venue location, their budget, type of event, and most importantly, date of the event. We would provide the design and equipment as to their requests.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The customer would have to remember to give plenty of notice, min 3 weeks before the event, keep in regular contact with the provider in case of any changes. Have a clear knowledge of exactly what they are after, or ask for advice/suggestions from the provider. Ask for full details of fees, contracts, Invoices and PLI.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have a degree in design and wanted to put my talent and creativity to good use. I started slowly at first helping out my friends with their parties and events. I always had great praise of my work and someone suggested that I should take up this line of work and turn it into a proper business, I, therefore, created High Doh Entertainments. My goal is always to create something spectacular and impress the customer, to give them even more than was expected, I love to see a satisfied smile on their faces. I am always honest and with my work and my quotes. I never let my customer down. My fees are very affordable.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Recently, I had a booking through Add to Event, for Mintlaw Academy. This was a dinner party. The client mentioned to me that they had a limited budget, but as promised, I was able to provide to them a fantastic design which would normally be outside their budget, but I helped them out on this occasion. Their request was to have table and chair covers, with a centrepiece on a black and white theme. To finish the design, I decorated the table with black and white cotton napkins in a nicely folded fan. The centrepiece was a large arrangement which the client was delighted with. The chairs were covered with sachets, the tablecloth was immaculately presented with no creases or blemishes. Even though I had a limited amount of time, I finished the project on time, as promised. I had many compliments from the client and guests. I would recommend Add to Event to all suppliers and companies I work with, of which some of them have already used this site now and are very satisfied.
