What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be able to effectively quote for a customer, we need to know the basic information first which Add to Event provides in their initial quote page. The essential information is event date, venue and event timings from that we know if we can provide the services with our clients are looking for.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important thing in our field is definitely what our products look like so pictures of our products are really important to get a sense of how they will fit in with your ideas for your event. Ask about the exact sizes of for example light up letters so you can work out where they will look the best at the venue. Lastly, check if they have the correct insurances and liability insurance as some venues won't allow a company in unless they provide their public liability certificate so be sure to ask.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We realised that it was becoming more common for proms, graduations, weddings and even birthdays to go that extra mile and really push the boat out at their event. After some stories from our friends about the costs of weddings and events we knew we could do better than the competition by offering higher quality services at much lower prices.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event is a decent platform for finding targeted leads, having all the information ready to provide a quote really saves time and does get your business name out there a little more. We recently supplied light up letters to someone that we quoted for because they were extremely local to us.
The job was great as there wasn't much delivery time we set up and went to another job and then back and picked up our letters and numbers at the end of the event. Everything ran on time and very smoothly and that's exactly what you want in a job, no surprises!
