SV Photography is a small family-run business with a small home studio in Blaby, Leicester for all your photography and videography needs, specialising in family, maternity, newborn, and model portrait photography as well as weddings and all other event photography and videography.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For a complete quote, I need to know the date and time of the event (if not booked yet, a rough estimate), the type of event being held and the location of the event (if not booked yet, a rough idea will suffice). Do they require videography as well as photography? With all this information I can then give a precise quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask to see the portfolio if one hasn't been offered, you can tell a lot about a photographer from their past work and whether their shoot and editing style is something that you want for your event. Don't be afraid to ask how many times they've covered events like yours, it's always reassuring to know your photographer has plenty of experience.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
SV Photography is a small family run business with a small home studio in Blaby, specialising in family and model portrait photography as well as wedding and event photography.
Between Rick and I, we have over 20 years of experience in the industry and are passionate about what we do.
Rick started TVSG in 2003 and it’s still going strong, I have always had a passion for capturing people's memories, which is why we have branched out into photography.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I've had a few bookings through Add To Event, my latest one was a model portfolio session for a young aspiring model who needed to build her confidence in front of the camera and get an amazing first portfolio so she could approach agencies. We had such an amazing afternoon, within 30 minutes she was so relaxed and laughing so much she said her cheeks hurt! After her session was over she was beaming from ear to ear and has asked if I can update her portfolio every year and that was thanks to Add to Event.
