Northwest Photobooth has been providing a fantastic and friendly photo booth hire service to over 1200 satisfied clients since June 2012! Turns out, they also have some great advice about what to check when booking a similar service.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a potential customer, we would need a little information about the event. We require the date so that we can check availability, the venue postcode so that we know if mileage is to be added and also the kind of event so that we can put together the best package.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Photo booths come in many shapes and sizes and suppliers can sometimes be misleading when advertising a photo booth. We would recommend that you ask to see photographs of the actual photo booth and not stock images or other suppliers photos lifted from websites. Having never cancelled a photo booth in our seven years of business, we are often asked to supply to people who have been cancelled on. Most often, the businesses who cancel on you do so because they've had a better offer. Check out Facebook reviews, if they've been turned off, it is likely down to too many bad reviews. Also, check out Google reviews. Ensure that you have an address and a business telephone number. Mobiles can easily be changed.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Northwest Photobooth was established in June 2012 where, as a local photography company, we were being asked to provide evening entertainment at weddings and birthday parties. Since then we have provided over 1500 photo booths at various functions across the North West including Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. We have also covered Wales, the Lake District and even the Isle Of Man. We have a 100% attendance track record which we are very proud of.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a number of bookings through this platform. Our favourite booking from Add to Event was a Block Party in Manchester which was hosted by a Radio One DJ outside in the summer. We enjoyed entertainment from new signings to a record label. One of the perks of the job!
