Here they share their knowledge and experience to suggest some great checks to make when looking for a videographer for your event.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a quote for any video project we ideally need to know a brief outline of the project, the date and venue and a description of what is needed to be filmed.
We will then get back to you quickly with a quote and a description of what we feel would be a suitable filming plan for the day and the equipment we think is best to use.
We are flexible with our replies so we can work with you to create the best plan and project outline for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The key to hiring anyone within the videography industry is ascertaining what their level and experience and knowledge is and seeing if that aligns with your expectations.
Ask to see a showreel and a website with project samples. This is really the only way you are going to know if the provider is the right fit for you.
Finally, I would suggest getting a few different quotes and weighing up value over quality. The focus really should be, in terms of video projects, on the quality of the finished piece. In 10 years time, you will not care that you had to spend a few hundred pounds more on a wedding film...you will just be glad you have an amazing film that your continue to cherish.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have loved film since as long as I can remember! I have actively been involved in film making and media production all of my life from spending 3 years at film school to starting my business over 10 years ago.
I have been lucky enough to work with clients all over the UK and beyond and feel very privileged that I get to do what I love every day.
I approach every project, no matter how big or small, with the same passion and energy. I have never had an unhappy client and I will endeavour to ensure that I never do!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I am new to Add to Event but I have certainly heard of the fantastic reputation and know that this is the platform to be on if you are looking for locally based clients.

I have been involved with a great deal of many other event sites, but Add to Event certainly seem to be the best I have been involved with so far. I am looking forward to being a part of this growing platform!
