What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide an accurate quote I need the date and time of the event. If it's a wedding I need the ceremony time and the start and finish time for the coverage required. If you aren't sure how much coverage is needed just let me know and I can advise. I'll also need to know if you want a basic package with just hi res edited digital images or if you also need an album included.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest arranging a chat with the provider. They will then be able to advise about which of their services would be most suitable. I would also advise the client on how to get the best value from my time.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I've been a hobby photographer for most of my life. I was asked to photograph a friend's wedding as a favour and things went a bit crazy from there! I've now been photographing weddings professionally for 15 years! I LOVE the buzz and happiness of the day and the reaction of couples when they receive their photos and get transported back to their big day.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

My most recent event through Add to Event was yesterday - I'm currently sat here editing the images! It was a gorgeous wedding in a tiny village near Berwick on Tweed. A beautiful little church followed by a reception in the garden of a country B and B! A lovely fun couple, a beautiful chilled day and some lovely photo ops!
