What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide you the most accurate quote possible the three most important details we need to know are:
1) The event date
2) Your preferred time
3) Who the favourite characters are
4) Where the event will be located.
However feel free to include as much information as possible! It it always extra helpful to include approximate number of children, the age range, if it will be a mix of girls and boys, and if the birthday girl/boy has any favourite 'must do' party activities! We can then ensure we create a truly bespoke package, which will be perfect for your little one's special day :)
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are HUGE variations in what comes under the 'Princess Party' category - never worry about asking too many questions! Some companies are entertainers primarily, who then wear a princess dress (which is FAB for larger groups!), whereas others ensure they ARE the princess, with the entertainment as an extra bonus! Perfect for lower guest counts and if you're looking for a more personalised bespoke experience, over a general party. If you ARE looking for a princess who matches up with the ones you might meet at popular theme parks make sure you check out photos, videos and reviews. Also don't be afraid of asking about what experience they have, and what their backup plans are in cases of sickness/emergencies! Check that they have a website (if so, is the attention to detail shown here too?), and ask about their booking system - is everything through message/email or do they have a professional booking system to ensure everything is recorded correctly and securely?
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
It had always been a dream of mine to bring Princesses to life and make children's dreams come true, and after a lot of hard work way back in 2014, I was absolutely thrilled to find a way to launch Emmabelle's Princess Parties and make this dream a reality! I started up Emmabelle's because I was passionate about bringing theme park quality characters to the UK, along with providing a unique and magical party experience for little ones, to really put the 'special' in their special day. I'm very 'all-or-nothing' with everything I do, so right from the start I made sure I invested in the highest quality costumes available, I created my own character training program to ensure each of our characters have the correct accent and mannerisms and even taught myself how to style wigs! I have a background in customer service, and absolutely love talking to customers, ensuring we can cater to their preferences perfectly.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
One booking that stands out to me from Add to Event is a really lovely home visit, for a small family celebration. We attend lots of big parties (which of course are super fun!), but the more personal ones are definitely my favourite and certainly more memorable. At this particular visit, the birthday girl was amazed to see the Ice Queen at her front door, it was a wonderful visit for SUCH a lovely family. The birthday girl got lots of one on one time with her favourite princess - with singing, dancing, glitter tattoos and her own coronation ceremony!
What I like about Add to Event is that we get to meet customers that might have otherwise missed us. It's certainly a bit of a minefield when searching for event services, Add to Event makes it so easy for customers to view lots of different options in one place!
