What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide an accurate quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to design a suitable menu.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering and whether it can be adapted within your budget, if you have one. A good caterer will guide you to stay within your ideal budget and order the appropriate amount of food for your event. Ask the provider for testimonials. In our experience, customers are all to happy to leave feedback if they have found the experience satisfactory.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Annika's Apron was born out of a love for all things food! Our passion has always been based in providing great food, service and giving people the day of their dreams. A core focus is on making sure our customers always have the best experience possible when it comes to catering, whether it be a wedding, a christening, a party, or a corporate event.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had lots of bookings through this platform that I am personally so happy about. If I had to pick one, it would be catering a D.I.Y Wedding in a barn in Malton. We fed 100 people, and we nailed it hard, even with limited resources! This is how we came to specialise in outdoor catering, getting many enquiries and bookings for it. The reviews were amazing! They could not understand how we pulled off a British/Iranian menu with limited electricity and space. We have recommended and recommend Add to Event to all other suppliers within the hospitality industry. Add to Event is still growing, we do our part to promote the platform.
