What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to make a comprehensive quote it sounds obvious but please give ALL information in regards to the production then nasty add ons will be avoided further down the line when the brief is outlined in further detail.
This should include as a minimum:
location; event timings; the number of guests; indoor/outdoor; dry hire or with an operator or technician; venue dimensions (for cable runs etc) load in access; help/crew available?

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would look at their track history either in review form on the internet (trust pilot/Facebook/website) and make sure there is evidence of being able to handle your event whether large or small. Very importantly if it's a public event that Public Liability insurance is valid so ask to see a copy of the cover note. Above all look at the way, the correspondence is handled between you as if it's slapdash in the approach at the planning stages it very may well be echoed onsite.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We launched GHA 45 years ago with the simple aim of using the cutting edge technology of the day to help organisations communicate, entertain and impress. The technology we used back in the 1970s would belong in a museum today, but of course, we have moved with the times. We use the latest technology like a giant LED displays, solid-state lighting as well as digital sound, but our passion for finding creative solutions to our clients' needs has remained undimmed across the decades.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We had a PR agency requiring a cinema pop up experience installed in a venue in East London. This required the actual projection with sound system and lighting and also a stage and mics. for a presentation discussion given by an executive member of a film governing body. We delivered this on point and on budget, the night was a great success. Another booking was a single pop up projection screen to go in a record store for an evening so demonstrates this website services both ends of the production spectrum.
