What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For Fizz On The Tyne to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally, we need the date of the event, a brief outline of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests & types of drinks you would like. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a perfect package for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask the provider about the quality of the drinks they are offering, we provide the finest Prosecco & Italian lagers and we use only the drinks that pass our own personal tests and tastes. I'd also try and find out about previous events they have done from their other social media sites & website etc. Finally, I'd want to find out about their equipment as better equipment will mean they can make better tasting drinks more efficiently and ensure your event goes without a hitch.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Fizz on the Tyne was born out of a friendship based upon a love of quirky bars and great drinks. The owners, Steven & Graeme have been lifelong friends and have over 30+ years of bar experience between them. Graeme has always wanted his own business & Steven has always wanted his own bar so this was the perfect venture to serve up a fizzy storm to people and parties in the North East.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had many bookings for all sorts of different types of events, from weddings to baby showers. One that we particularly enjoyed was a 40th birthday bash at a clients' beautiful home in Newcastle. We served our delicious Italian fizz & lager to over 200 guests and everyone of them complimented us on our drinks and also how much they loved our little unique van.
Our client and her guests were more than thrilled all night long and have booked us again for another event they are hosting in the summer.
