Festival Street Kitchen offers a unique street food provider cooking amazing dishes from around the world on cast iron "Big Pans". They cover the Hampshire areas, UK.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we will need the event date, the number of guests, the venue, and a brief description of the event. We can then offer our menus to choose and a detailed quote to include costs and event timings. We will bring all the equipment, all serving containers, cutlery and condiments so your guests can sit back and enjoy the delicious street food experience.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

For a true street food experience that cooks dishes from around the world, it would be good to know the expertise, experience and how they can claim to cook delicious dishes from around the world-where did they begin, how did they learn the recipes. At FSK, we travelled the world and ate street food, spoke to the people and got their recipes to bring home and start our very own street food concept.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The founders at FSK started their street food business following a trek visiting countries around the world. Their experiences of eating foods on the streets in these countries ignited their taste buds and gave them a longing to copy these dishes and bring them home. Following their travels and having spoken to many of the street food owners to understand the ingredients, how to cook them, why they use the flavours, they knew they had something unique to offer here in the UK.
They got to work writing their recipes, adding the photos from their travels to create their unique core cards detailing every recipe and method-then they found a location and began their very own street food journey. Based in Basingstoke they have a huge following, ranked number 1, have won so many awards and in Covid, set up their location to feed NHS staff. Alex and Danielle, husband and wife team are genuine, and bursting with life people.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have only just joined this platform in the early stages of completing our registration. We have not had any events from this platform yet but have hundreds of events that we have done, we catered for 1000 people with our paella big pan dish, cooked 400 burgers with bacon and fried onions for a BBQ with a difference event. our jerk chicken event was for 250 people for a local company and was awesome with people asking us for the recipe!
Charity events, weddings, corporate events, we have done it all and always get so many amazing reviews.
