What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

There are actually a lot of details that a business owner needs to know before giving a quote.

The main ones would be;
- What product is needed?
- If food, then hot or cold?
- The number of people attending the event.
- Event location (To work out if travel costs are needed).

Other details that are helpful but not necessary for giving a quote, are;
- If the event is inside or outside.
- Any dietary requirements.

It is good to put as much detail as possible in the initial email.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My main bit of advice is to look at reviews. Check the provider's website and social media to see what other people are saying about him/her. If the reviews are good and the business is close to your area, just go and check it out! It's nice to be able to put a name to the face and also try out the product first-hand:-).

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

When I was 14 I got a job in a local cafe, from day one of working there I knew that one day I wanted to own a cafe. Realistically I couldn't afford to rent a cafe, so I decided to buy a trailer. WOW, I LOVE my trailer, I really really wouldn't change it for a cafe. The freedom you get to move around and travel the country is brilliant. I have never looked back since starting, and now planning to get a second!!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I haven't been part of the Add to Event family for very long. In the past I have signed up to other websites similar to this with not much luck in getting events, within the first week of being on here I GOT AN EVENT!! A local campsite held a festival for all of its caravan owners, there were 800 people attending which was slightly daunting at first, it was our first ever show. But it was a brilliant day, the sun was shining and all of our customers were on great form throughout. Add to Event is such an easy platform to use, I have already recommended it my other Street Trader friends and will continue to do so with others that I meet in the future.
