What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a clear and compatible quote, ideally we need the event date, the estimated number of guests, a brief explanation of the event they are hosting, location of venue and if they have any ideas of a theme they would like us to do.
From this, we can tailor a quote to suit the needs of the customer, and plan if we need to purchase anything that they would require.
Any extra information is always welcome so we can create the best experience from enquiry to completion.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the provider if there is an option of products or if it’s down to the providers choice of what they supply.
Confirm with the provider if there are any vegetarian/vegans so the provider can advise you on allergies.
Ask the provider why they started the business, to understand their passion.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

J & D Sweet Cart started back in 2019 when Jade and Dan an engaged couple bought a sweet cart for their upcoming wedding in May 2020. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the wedding has been cancelled a number of times. Having this sweet cart that had been freshened up and all ready, the plan to hire it out and create experiences for other people was created. After starting a pick n mix delivery during lockdown when not much was open, and to make use of all the time, we have grown and are continuing to grow. Experienced in customer care Jade and Dan have the customers best interest and love to create a new experience for them to remember.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There have been many, but my favourite has been a dinosaur sweet cart we providing for a 5-year-olds birthday! The organisers lived only doors from us but hadn't heard of us. Since then we have had 3 bookings from that party alone. We added so many extra touches to make it as great as we could! From handmade labels to Dinosaur eggs! Without Add to Event we would have never had that booking so I would recommend them to anyone.
