What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

I would need to know what kind of event they are wanting my candy cart for, the number of people that I will be catering for as I work on a price per head at times.
I would need to know any dietary requirements, vegan vegetarian halal etc so I can cater accordingly.
What kind of event I am catering for, so as to determine if a whole day or a few hours hire would be needed.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would like to see some kind of customer feedback from previous customers to give an idea of the quality of the services provided and to see lots of pictures of what the provider supplies.
I would be interested in a small amount of info as to how the business started and how long it has been running etc.
It's always helpful to have a list of pricing ( I always offer price match as and where I can so I think thats' a great thing to see too )

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started Cart and Candies just over two years ago now, I have always been in the catering trade in some form or another, my mum had her own catering business for 30 plus years catering for weddings, functions, trade shows etc, which I would go along with her and help.
My Nan also had a cake making business making wedding cakes and selections of cream cakes that she would sell locally.
I guess it is a route that I have always been destined for and so Cart and Candies was created, I started off making sweet trees and sweet boxes, bouquets and basically anything sweetie! and also then added my Candy Cart to hire out for events.
It has been a great learning curve for me starting this little business up and I am happy with how it's going so far.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had a booking for a ladies 50th Birthday party for my candy cart and she was over the moon with the cart, in fact, she still refers to the candy cart as "her cart"
She really did love it, which was absolutely great for me to hear.
It's brilliant to know that you have provided something that has added to make their party a great day for them.
I hope to continue providing a service that people will love.
