What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide the customer with a comprehensive quote, we need the event date, the event location, details of the type of event they are holding, the time at which they require our service/hire and for how long, and the estimated number of guests that will be in attendance at the event. By obtaining these details, we can create a suitable and fairly accurate quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask suppliers about the product they are hiring out, gather details of what each supplier includes within their hire packages. Check they are available on your desired date, and ensure that you ask them any questions that you may have regarding the hire of their product for your event. Lastly, find out how to go ahead with hiring their product from them.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Sensational Sweets was started and is still run by two family members and their love of all things sweet! We worked at a venue who held a large amount of weddings, and we thought how lovely it would be to enable couples to have sweets at their wedding. From this we started our ferris wheel hire packages for weddings, parties, christenings and many other occasions. Our business has expanded since, and we now offer several sweet treats including; wedding favours, party bags, and sweet cones just to name a few.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a few bookings through Add to Event since we joined and we are happy about this. The customers we've met through this platform have been lovely and it's been easy to communicate with them via this platform. Overall, we believe this is a great platform for both suppliers and event organisers to find the services they require, and we'll will do my best to promote the platform as much as we can.
