What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive and accurate quote we ideally need a brief description of the event and clients expectations on the day. Many couples have their own preferences in terms of the final film so its good to have some feedback regarding the style and look they are after.. ie cinematic romantic or fun with lots of clips of guests enjoying themselves.
We also like to know a little more about the customer where possible.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

So important to ensure the supplier has the relevant experience and has the necessary technology to ensure your film is recorded and edited to a high standard. I say this because there are so many amateurs in this field who use fake examples which ultimately end up with the couple being very disappointed with the results. Also, be sure to check references as all professionals will have history.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always had a passion for film and have spent many years working with corporate clients and TV. Weddings are so enjoyable as every one tells a unique story. I have filmed over 400 weddings in 10 years and yes.. still get a buzz from it!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I took a booking last year from the platform for a wedding in East Sussex. The couple were older and very relaxed about how they wanted their day to unfold so were seeking somebody who would dovetail into their plans. The day was shot at a glamping site in beautiful surroundings on what was a beautiful summers day in September. a memorable day.
