What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For wafflelollies to be able to provide a comprehensive quote to customers we need the date of event, amount of people who will attend the event. Whether electricity will be provided for us or will we need to bring our own generator if the event will be taken place indoors or outdoors. We would also need to know the location of the event so we can take the journey time into consideration for such events.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider about their product, find out what ingredients they use and where they source their ingredients. Also, find out how long they have been in the business as you would like a provider with experience and who can provide you with quality. Ask the provider about their menu and if they change it up for certain events, seasons, holidays etc.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I've always enjoyed catering, I have always had a passion for it and wanted to interact with the general public with my skills as I have always been in social jobs. I attended a catering event and saw a waffle iron in use which made me think about putting a waffle on a stick. This then became a reality when I bought my first waffle iron, I then thought about which toppings would be best to use and that allowed me to buy a chocolate tempering machine which would allow the chocolate to be melted and can then be poured onto the waffle. Then more and more products were introduced after speaking to friends about what could be improved. Since the start of the business it just gets better and better and new ideas are always thought of.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had previous bookings via this platform prior to Christmas. The client and guests were very pleased and they enjoyed wafflelollies. The whole booking process was easy enough there were a few who did not have electricity which we could cater to as we have our own generator.
I have recommended this platform to others I know in the catering business!
