What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a comprehensive quote, I ask for a brief explanation of your ceremony. It would be helpful if you know what kind of ceremony (traditional, spiritual, quirky, light, serious, themed). Also how long you would like your ceremony to be and perhaps how many guests you may have.
Of course, you may not know the answers at this time, but any information that you deem to be relevant would be most helpful.
Also where your wedding will take place is helpful too.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is great to start off with a quote to ensure the service meets your budget, however, my advice is that you don't go by price alone, If offered the opportunity to have a brief chat (telephone, zoom or in-person) then it is advisable to do so. This will give you an idea whether you feel comfortable with the Celebrants style and manner. Will they meet your needs? The initial chat can just be short but it allows an overall feeling and of course time for any pressing questions.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
My passion is allowing people to celebrate themselves, I strive to make every ceremony unique and my personal goal is to exceed my own expectations of each ceremony. I understand the importance of creating memories and my aim is to allow others the opportunity to create unforgettable memories.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had some lovely bookings, one of my absolute favourites was when I was given just a few days to write a commitment ceremony. I didn't have the opportunity to meet with the couple and had one telephone conversation beforehand. The ceremony was beautiful and authentic, the couple wanted quirky - they really did it their way and it was so relaxed and so beautiful to be part of. The simplicity of this ceremony and the reliance on me being able to create what they were looking for made what should have been a difficult (time-wise) ceremony something that I will cherish and hold dearly as a memory.
