At Taste of Jamrock Ltd, we do what we do because food is more than a service to us — it’s our heritage, our passion, and our life’s work. With over 20 years of experience in the catering and hospitality industry, we’ve dedicated ourselves to creating memorable dining experiences built on flavour, quality, and care.
We’re proudly led by Rootsroy, who is Jamaican, and Ewurabena, who is Ghanaian, and together we bring the rich culinary traditions of the Caribbean and West Africa to every event we cater. Our cooking is inspired by authentic family recipes passed down through four generations, preserving the soul of our cultures while elevating each dish with professional technique.
We both trained at chef school, refining our skills, mastering presentation, and learning the highest standards of culinary excellence. What started as cooking for friends, family, and community gatherings naturally grew into a full-service catering company driven by our love for food and people.
We’re inspired every day by our roots, our customers, and the joy of seeing guests experience flavours that feel both comforting and exciting. Every dish we serve reflects who we are — tradition, professionalism, and genuine passion on a plate.

With over 20 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry, we have built Taste of Jamrock Ltd on a foundation of hard work, passion, and proven success across restaurants, events, and large-scale catering.
Before launching our catering and festival brand, we proudly owned and operated two restaurants in Chelmsford, Essex — Vibes Kitchen and Mamasaaga Kitchen. One of our restaurants was honoured as being among the Top 5 Restaurants in Essex, a milestone that recognised both our food quality and customer loyalty.
Following the challenges of Covid, we evolved our business into the vibrant world of festival and event catering, bringing our flavours to some of the UK’s biggest food, music, and cultural festivals. These include Taste of Caribbean Festival, Download Festival, Isle of Wight Festival, Latitude Festival, Silverworks Island, Reggae Land, Reading Festival, and many more.
Alongside festivals, we continue to provide high-quality catering for weddings, corporate functions, and private events, including working lunches for large teams and contract catering for Mace Building Company, delivering reliable, fresh meals in fast-paced professional environments.
Our journey reflects growth, resilience, and a commitment to excellence — from award-recognised restaurants to nationwide festivals and trusted corporate partnerships. Every milestone has shaped the premium service and bold flavours we proudly offer today
