Our Story
When I was 19, I made a toy truck disappear for a young boy. The sheer astonishment and pure joy in his eyes captivated me completely. In that moment, I realised magic wasn't about tricks, it was about creating a shared, unforgettable experience. That feeling, the spark of connection and wonder, is what I want to share with the world.
For me, magic is a form of expression. My tricks are the way I think about the world, fun, playful, mysterious, and full of surprises, and I get to share that perspective with strangers who become friends by the end of a performance.
The story of how this documentary came to be is a bit of magic in itself. After a performance at the Edinburgh Fringe, an audience member who turned out to be an amazing director approached me. Captivated by the show and the life behind it, he simply asked, "Can I shoot a documentary about you?" That genuine, spontaneous connection is at the heart of what I do.
The result is "Magician Documentary (Scotland) - It's A Kind of Magic," a short film that follows my life as a performer in Edinburgh. It’s a raw and personal look at the passion, preparation, and purpose that fuel my craft.
