About Andy Fisher Photography
Hi, I’m Andy, a documentary wedding photographer based in the the West Midlands.
I photograph weddings for couples who care more about how their day feels than how it looks on a checklist.
The nervous laughter before the ceremony. Your partner trying (and failing) not to cry when they first see you. A hug that lasts a little longer than expected. Friends singing badly on the dance floor when the lights drop.
Those are the moments that matter later. And those are the moments I’m there to capture.
My approach is relaxed and quietly documentary. I won’t pull you away from your guests for hours or turn your day into a photoshoot. Most of the time you’ll barely notice the camera. Instead, I spend the day observing, anticipating and finding the real moments as they naturally unfold.
Most of my couples tell me they feel awkward in photos - which is absolutely fine. You don’t need to know what to do. My job is simply to create an atmosphere where you can relax and be yourselves.
Alongside the natural storytelling, I also love creating a few atmospheric portraits when the light softens later in the evening. Nothing forced - just a few calm minutes away from the noise to create something a little special.
On the day I’m not just the photographer either. I’m the calm presence fixing buttonholes, helping calm nerves, and quietly making sure things keep moving without fuss.
If you're planning a wedding that’s more about people, atmosphere and real moments than perfect poses, we’ll probably get on very well.
I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
