Ark Guarding Solutions provides security and event staff for festivals, live music, sporting events, venues and private events. We can support you with SIA door supervisors, stewards, search teams, response staff, control room support, traffic and parking teams, and welfare staff.
We’re based in Chester and work across the North West and North Wales, with teams available to travel further for larger events. Tell us what you’re planning, where it’s happening and the cover you need, and we’ll put together a practical staffing proposal.
Our Story
Ark Guarding Solutions started with a simple ambition: to build a security company that looks after its people and delivers a service clients can rely on.
After years working in hospitality, door supervision and major events, our founder Adam Wheawell wanted to bring that experience into a business of his own. Having helped build and manage security teams for others, he understood how much good security depends on the people delivering it.
Based in Chester and North Wales, we are an independent business specialising in events, festivals and hospitality venues. Our focus is building a dependable team, creating worthwhile employment and forming lasting relationships with our clients. We care about staff feeling valued, guests feeling welcome and organisers knowing their event is in capable hands.

Our Team
Ark is led by Adam James, whose background spans hospitality, door supervision, crowd management and security operations at major UK and international events.
Alongside Adam is Lyndsey Higgins. Both are trainers and support staff development, including training in spectator safety, helping our team build the skills and confidence needed for their roles.
Our team includes SIA-licensed door supervisors, Close Protection, CCTV, safety stewards, supervisors and response personnel. We select people for their experience, reliability and ability to work well with the public.
We are building a close-knit team where people know one another, take pride in their work and support each other. For our clients, that means approachable staff, clear communication and hands-on management from the first enquiry through to the final shift.

Experience
Ark Guarding Solutions brings together hands-on experience in event security, crowd management and hospitality security. Our founder's experience includes operational and supervisory roles at Glastonbury, Creamfields, Download, BST Hyde Park, the Isle of Wight Festival and MDLBEAST Soundstorm.

We work with event organisers, festival promoters, pubs, bars, nightclubs, music venues, sports grounds and hospitality businesses. We also support corporate events, private functions, seasonal attractions and community celebrations.

Credentials
Our leadership’s qualifications include Level 5 Crowd Management, spectator safety, front-of-stage pit training, IOSH and NEBOSH health and safety qualifications, first aid and close protection.
We deploy SIA-licensed personnel where required and use Vantra to support staff vetting, compliance checks and deployment management. Staff are selected for their suitability, experience and approach to customer service, with role-specific briefings and ongoing development to support professional standards.
