Photography has always been about people for me — not just photos.
I got started over 20 years ago, initially drawn to photography as a way to capture real moments and real emotion. Over time, that love grew into a career, and for the past 12+ years I’ve been photographing weddings, events, and celebrations across Essex and beyond.
What inspires me most is connection. The unscripted moments. The things people don’t realise are happening until they look back later — the laughter, the nervous excitement, the proud looks, the chaos, and the calm. Those are the moments that matter, and those are the ones I’m always looking for.
My background is rooted in storytelling photography. I work in a relaxed, documentary style, blending in where possible and offering gentle guidance only when it helps the day flow more smoothly. I’ve learned that people don’t want to feel “photographed” all the time — they want to feel comfortable, supported, and able to enjoy their event.
Over the years, I’ve photographed everything from intimate weddings and family celebrations to corporate events and community gatherings. That experience means I know how events run, how to read a room, and how to stay calm when plans change (because they always do!).
