About ChiDining

Based in the Home Counties, I provide bespoke private and corporate catering for clients looking for a highly experienced chef to deliver exceptional food with minimal stress.

I am a classically trained chef and former restaurateur with over 50 years’ professional experience, specialising in well-planned, discreet, and beautifully executed events. My work ranges from intimate dinner parties for a few guests through to larger family celebrations, corporate hospitality, and formal functions.

Over the years I have catered at a wide variety of venues, including private homes, village halls, showrooms, boardrooms, gardens, stately homes, yachts, and other non-traditional spaces. This breadth of experience allows me to adapt confidently to different environments and event styles, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.

Each event begins with an initial discussion to understand your requirements, followed where appropriate by a site visit. Menus are then tailored to the occasion and guest needs, and a clear, detailed plan and quotation is provided. Additional services such as staff, equipment, flowers, marquees, and other event support can also be arranged if required.

The majority of food is prepared in my five-star registered kitchen and finished on site, keeping disruption to a minimum while ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

On the day itself, my team and I arrive fully prepared, set up as agreed, and take care of the details from arrival drinks and canapés through to service and close-down — allowing you to host with confidence and enjoy your event.

I trained as a classical chef and went on to run my own restaurant before focusing on private and event catering. Over the years I have found that my clients value calm planning, discretion, and food that is well thought through and professionally delivered.

I now specialise in bespoke private and corporate events where experience, flexibility, and attention to detail matter as much as the food itself.

I work personally on every event and 'am supported, where required, by a small team of experienced front-of-house and kitchen staff. The team is scaled appropriately to the size and style of each event, ensuring a smooth and well-managed service.

I have spent many years delivering bespoke events across the Home Counties, ranging from intimate private dinners to larger family celebrations and corporate hospitality. My background includes operating my own restaurants, alongside extensive experience working independently as a private chef and event caterer.

This depth of experience allows me to plan carefully, adapt to different venues and client needs, and deliver events that are calm, well-organised, and professionally executed.
