Dance Electric provides professional DJ services for weddings, engagement parties, milestone birthdays, corporate events and private celebrations across London and the South East.

Founded by Rob, Dance Electric combines over 20 years of DJ experience with a modern, music-led approach to private events. Rather than relying on the same fixed soundtrack at every party, every event is tailored to the crowd, the occasion and the atmosphere you want to create.

Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a packed dancefloor, the focus is always the same: great music, professional service and a memorable experience for your guests.

Our Story

Dance Electric was created to bring a more considered, culture-led approach to private events DJing. After years of playing bars, clubs, and parties in London and abroad, it became clear that the best nights aren’t about forcing bangers; they’re about understanding people. Too many event DJs play the same tired playlist regardless of the room. We like to ask the right questions so that we can ensure your event soundtrack is tailored to your guests and the occasion.

Inspired by decades of club culture, Black music history, and modern dancefloor dynamics, Dance Electric exists to serve the room. From warm, soulful openings to moments that lift a crowd together, the goal is always connection, flow, and energy that feels natural rather than scripted.

Dance Electric is run by Rob, an experienced London-based DJ performing under both Dance Electric (private events) and RevolutionsLDN (public bookings).

Rob brings years of experience across clubs, bars, hotels, corporate events, and private celebrations, with a reputation for reading the room and building energy across generations and cultures.

Fabulous Service Great DJ

I hired Rob for my 60th birthday party and he provided a fantastic service from start to finish. His communication was so good as was his understanding of what I wanted for my special night. I sent a list of my fave tracks but wanted him to add in related tunes and recent floor fillers of his choice and he absolutely nailed it! We spoke before the event to run over things and I had every confidence in him. He arrived on time and had everyone dancing quickly. My friends were all as happy as I was with music. If you’re looking for a DJ who is passionate and knowledgeable about all types and eras of music and who delivers a great service at a decent rate, Rob is your man. Highly recommended!

Amazing dj set

Rob was amazing! He did a great job with all the songs choices for my birthday. Everyone really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere. Got everyone dancing. I absolutely would recommend him. He created a great vibe to the party.

Superb set - nailed the brief

Rob (Dance Electric) was absolutely superb from start to finish. Great communication, a punctual arrival and offered the flexibility to carry on a little later into the night. Feedback from guests was universally positive and he nailed the brief with a set of timeless dancefloor-friendly classics covering the golden age of hip-hop, 90s indie and some iconic funk and soul. Thank you for helping make this such a special night.

Fantastic communication and set!

Rob was excellent. Great communication throughout the whole process. He got there half an hour early to set up. Hit the brief perfectly and ultimately created great energy and a full dance floor. Thank you! Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Rob was absolutely fantastic and kept in touch right up until the event, which gave us complete peace of mind. We both share a similar taste in music across all genres, which made the whole process feel relaxed, easy, and genuinely enjoyable.
