DJ Mike Hackett is a professional Wedding DJ, MC & Host based in Bristol, covering weddings across Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester and the wider South West.

With over 40 years’ experience across radio, clubs, events and weddings, Mike provides much more than simply music. He helps couples create relaxed, well-organised celebrations that flow naturally from the important daytime moments through to a brilliant evening party.

Every wedding is planned around the couple, their guests and their music. Must-plays, favourites and suitable guest requests are welcomed, with music mixed live and adapted throughout the evening to suit the room.

Professional sound, venue-friendly lighting and wireless microphones are included where required, with fully PAT-tested equipment, £10 million Public Liability Insurance, backup equipment and trusted professional backup DJ support.

Optional extras include Selfie Wizard live photo sharing, Tomfoolery party props and the Smart Tech Speed Quiz.

Mike is also a PMCA member and combines professional hosting with an experienced, relaxed approach — helping key moments run smoothly without anything feeling forced or over-formal.

Mike started DJing at 18 and has spent more than 40 years working across radio, clubs, live events, weddings and professional hosting. Over time, weddings became a major part of his work because they combine everything he enjoys most — music, people, atmosphere and helping important moments run smoothly.

His approach today combines that long DJ experience with professional MC and hosting skills, creating celebrations that feel relaxed, personal and well organised rather than overly formal or scripted.

Mike has over 40 years’ experience as a DJ and MC, with a background that includes radio, clubs, weddings, parties, corporate events and live event hosting.

He is a PMCA member and continues to develop his professional MC and hosting skills alongside his DJ work. His experience includes intimate celebrations, larger weddings, marquees, corporate events and venues across Bristol and the South West.
