My journey as Tadi.wav has been about much more than learning to DJ. I have deliberately built myself as an artist, creative, and brand, developing the skills behind the music that let me create opportunities rather than wait for them.

I started with a genuine fascination with music and a DJ's ability to change the energy of a room completely. As my sound developed, I became particularly drawn to African and Southern African electronic music, while deliberately maintaining a broad musical foundation through years of playing in multi-genre environments. That combination has allowed me to develop a distinctive sound without being restrictive.

Alongside developing as a DJ, I have invested heavily in understanding how artists actually build sustainable careers. I have independently refined my branding, marketing, outreach and content strategies, learning how to position myself for different audiences and communicate what makes me valuable to promoters, venues, brands and event organisers. This approach has helped me secure multiple brand collaborations, build relationships with established figures within the industry and receive meaningful co-signs from people working across the wider music and events landscape.

I have also learned to treat every opportunity as part of a bigger picture. Rather than viewing a booking as simply a slot to play music, I consider the audience, the organisation, the wider event and the relationships that can be developed around it.
