El Ajolote Mexican Food offers authentic, home-style Mexican cuisine inspired by traditional family recipes. We bring fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and warm hospitality to events and private functions.

The business was started by my daughters and me, inspired by our family recipes passed down through generations. With a background in cooking and a deep love for Mexican culture, we aim to create not just meals, but experiences that connect people through food. Every taco, burrito, and salsa is made with care and respect for our heritage, driven by the joy of celebrating Mexican flavours and hospitality at every event we serve.

We started El Ajolote Mexican Food, selling homemade dishes from our kitchen, driven by passion and family recipes. As demand grew, we invested in essential equipment like griddles and display units to improve our service. We then moved to running our food business from a gazebo at local events, gaining valuable experience and connecting with the community. A major milestone was participating in the BBC’s Best British Takeaway competition, where we proudly represented Mexican cuisine and made great friendships with fellow participants. Building on that success, we converted a horsebox into a fully equipped food trailer, allowing us to cater events with high-quality equipment and deliver authentic Mexican flavours with professionalism and style.
