Fables Catering & Events is a UK-wide catering and event hire company creating memorable experiences for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events.

We bring together food, people, equipment and event extras under one roof, helping clients create an event that feels well organised, distinctive and completely their own.

Our catering ranges from street food, stone-baked pizza and BBQs to canapés, grazeboards, hog roasts, buffets and bespoke menus, all designed around the style, size and atmosphere of the occasion. Alongside the food, we also provide event hire, staffing and a wide range of extras, giving clients the option to bring more of their event together through one experienced team.

With more than 25 years in the outside catering and events industry, Fables combines experience with a creative, hands-on approach. Whether it is an intimate gathering or a large-scale celebration, our aim is simple: great food, reliable service and an event guests genuinely remember.

The Story of Fables

Fables began long before the name ever existed.

Our journey into food and events started at just 15 years old, working in farmers' markets and local butchers. Those early years were spent learning the fundamentals properly — understanding good produce, speaking to customers face-to-face and seeing first-hand how much people value quality, care and great service.

From those beginnings came a career in outside catering and events, eventually leading and managing a prominent catering company and working across everything from intimate private celebrations to weddings, corporate events and large-scale functions. Over the years, that experience meant learning every side of the industry — not just the food, but logistics, staffing, equipment, event planning and the hundreds of small details that have to come together behind the scenes to make an event feel effortless for the client.

It also created a belief that catering could be more imaginative. Food should be part of the experience, not simply something served during it. That thinking led to unusual catering concepts, hand-built street-food units, vintage vehicles, bespoke menus and a style of event catering designed to give guests something they genuinely remember.

After more than two decades spent learning, building and working within the industry, the time came to create something of our own.

We have taken everything learned along the way and brought it together into one business — combining outside catering, event hire, staffing and distinctive event experiences for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events throughout the UK.

The name may be new, but the experience behind it certainly isn't.

Fables is built on years of hands-on knowledge, a love of creating something different and a simple ambition: to help create events that become part of people's stories.
