Gambino Cheesesteak

Gambino Cheesesteaks is a South London street food business bringing together American favourites with bold Ghanaian and Guyanese flavours. We serve hearty halal Philly-style cheesesteaks with tender ribeye steak, chicken or mushroom fillings, alongside loaded seasoned fries and our signature Jollof Rice Bowls. Choose Gambino for generous portions, exciting flavours and a warm, friendly welcome. Whether you’re grabbing lunch or booking us for a corporate office pop-up, market or private event, we bring satisfying food and a memorable experience. We hold £5 million public liability insurance and the required trading documentation for event bookings.

Gambino Cheesesteaks grew from friendship, brotherhood and a shared love of good food. Growing up on a council estate, I was inspired by hip-hop culture, the people around me and the way food brings communities together. My passion for cooking developed during time in prison, where it gave me focus, purpose and a vision for a different future. Together, we turned that passion into Gambino Cheesesteaks, combining American street food favourites with our Ghanaian and Guyanese influences. Our halal cheesesteaks, loaded fries and Jollof Rice Bowls reflect the flavours we love and the backgrounds we’re proud of. For us, Gambino is about building something positive, creating opportunities and bringing people together over generous, satisfying food. Every booking is a chance to share our story, welcome new customers and keep growing a business built on friendship, determination and flavour.

Gambino Cheesesteaks has been selected for the McCain Streets Ahead programme, powered by KERB—an exciting milestone supporting our growth in the UK street food industry. Founded by Avalon Daniels and Harrison Ofosu, we bring together Ghanaian and Guyanese influences with American street food favourites. Since launching our menu, we’ve begun trading at Cowcross Yards in Farringdon and celebrated a sold-out service. We’re proud to be building our business through hands-on experience, determination and a passion for serving generous, flavour-packed food.

Gambino Cheesesteaks caters for corporate office pop-ups, staff lunches, team celebrations, street food markets, festivals, community events and private parties. We work with office managers, workplace teams, event organisers and private hosts looking for hearty, flavour-packed food. Our halal cheesesteaks, loaded fries and Jollof Rice Bowls bring together American street food favourites with Ghanaian and Guyanese influences—ideal for a lunchtime treat or a special celebration.
