I started as DJ Atomix over ten years ago, playing weddings, corporate events, and parties across Sussex. Somewhere along the way, I noticed the same problem coming up again and again: clients loved the idea of DJing their own event, or already had a band or entertainment booked, but still needed proper sound, lighting, and AV equipment they could rely on. Sourcing that separately usually meant piecing it together from multiple suppliers, with no guarantee the kit would actually work well together on the day.

That gap is what led me to build out Good Frequency. I wanted to offer the same reliability and hands-on experience I'd built up as a DJ, but focused purely on supplying and setting up equipment properly, PA systems, lighting rigs, and AV kit that's tested, insured, and delivered when and where it's needed. Having spent a decade actually running events, I understand what can go wrong technically and how to avoid it, which is something you don't get from a supplier who's never stood behind a mixing desk mid-event.

What inspires me now is the same thing that got me into events in the first place: watching something come together well. Whether that's a wedding ceremony with clear, well-balanced sound, or a corporate conference where the AV just works without anyone in the room thinking about it, that's the outcome I'm aiming for every time. Good Frequency has grown out of real experience in the field, not just equipment stock, and that's what I try to bring to every hire.
