Ian Stephenson – DJ Profile Originally from Camden and now based in Bethnal Green, my love for music was sparked in the mid-80s through listening to pirate radio stations like LWR and Kiss. That inspiration led me to start collecting rap records and eventually invest in my first set of DJ equipment. Over the years, my collection has expanded to include a wide range of genres, from Disco and RnB to Rare Groove. I began DJing in pubs and bars around Camden, spinning mainly old skool RnB and Hip Hop. I held a regular Sunday morning slot on Passion FM, where I played a mix of old skool RnB, Hip Hop, Rare Groove, and House. That residency opened doors—most notably becoming a regular old skool RnB DJ at the legendary Promised Land events at Egg Club. My last set for Promised Land was during the Queen’s Jubilee weekend in 2022. In short—I’m old skool through and through. Thanks for checking out my profile.
