James Hasler

James Hasler, a forma team leading “Olympic and Paralympic Games Maker” has a background in both customer service and the performing arts. He spent the best part of his 28 years in industry working for some of the world’s most prestigious car manufacturers, including Jaguar and Aston Martin and was a champion for customer service with Saab.

However, throughout those years in the industry, he performed regularly at many live events, as well as acting on stage in his spare time. James furthered his skills at City Lit in the City of London, and it is these extra stagecraft skills and his years of experience in customer service that he uses now uses to great effect, helping clients run their events with impact and giving them confidence in their communication skills.

James is a Fellow of the Guild of International Professional Toastmasters and won the prestigious title of Toastmaster of the Year in 2019. He has experience of over 250 weddings, since starting out in 2013, and in 2023 won both the Country and International Wedding Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies of the Year at the International Wedding Awards. Additionally in his role as a Toastmaster, he works regularly throughout the City of London running events for various institutions, which include around 10 dinners at Mansion House a year.

When not being a Compere, Event Host and Toastmaster, James is also an experienced Charity Auctioneer and since 2013 has been involved in raising over £3m for good causes.

Finally, to complement his compere, event host, toastmaster and auctioneering work, James is an experienced “Voice of God” announcer at large events and has a small studio at home where he can also produce pre-recorded announcements if necessary. He is the Principal Consultant at "HaslerHill Consulting," the Host as "The Man in the Red Coat," the Voice behind "James Hasler Voice" and Beadle (whatever that is!) to 6 of the City’s Livery Companies.

James runs events on behalf of other people. You create the event and James makes it happen on the day. He takes away the stress of event logistics, especially where people are concerned, ensuring all know what their role is, as well as keeping everything on schedule. He is a trained actor, and has the best part of 40 years experience in industry, customer service and events to fall back on, providing confidence to those who engage him allowing them to relax in the knowledge that someoneelse has taken charge of their event. Events with James in charge rarely run behind time and guests and delegates are always where they need to be having been guided in a firm but warm manner. His inspiration is mainly the people, whether working with royalty, celebrity, but most of all the unknown. Everyone has a story to tell as does every event, and James loves bringing those stories to life.

The first person after the Late Sir Michael Gambon to be made up and perform as Albus Dumbledore in the Great Hall at Hogwarts - Warner Brothers Studio Tour, Watford - running an awards ceremony for a a Corporate Client.
