Hi, I’m James, the DJ behind JB Entertainments.

I’m a North Bristol-based DJ with a passion for creating unforgettable weddings, parties and events across the South West. I live in Yate with my wife Hayley (pictured with me) and our two children, Harry and Lizzie. Hayley and I have been married since 2009, and family life has given me a real appreciation for how important great celebrations and shared moments really are.

My love of music and DJing began in the 1990s, and I bought my first turntables in 2000. Since launching my first mobile disco service in 2006, I’ve built up years of experience performing at a wide range of events, with weddings becoming a particular favourite. In 2014, I joined The Celebration Roadshow, one of the region’s established and award-winning wedding entertainment companies, where I gained extensive experience performing at weddings and larger events.

I have over 20 years of DJ experience, performing at weddings, private parties, and corporate events across Bristol and the South West.

My journey began in the early 2000s, and since then I’ve developed a reputation for creating packed dancefloors and delivering seamless, well-run events. Since 2014, I’ve also been a DJ with The Celebration Roadshow, an award-winning entertainment company, where I’ve performed at many of the region’s most sought-after venues and been part of hundreds of successful celebrations.

This depth of experience means I understand not just what to play, but when to play it — reading the room, managing key moments, and ensuring everything flows naturally. Whether it’s a wedding first dance, a milestone birthday, or a corporate event, I bring a calm, professional approach focused on making your event feel effortless and unforgettable.
