For 22 years, I've been exploring the manual typewriter as a drawing tool and way of expressing the way I see the letters, numbers and symbols to reflect daily life. It began because words failed me, and it felt more natural to repeat one character than construct words with this beautiful printing machine. I took to the streets and the reaction from the public fascinated me and still does, wherever I take it, people remember the past, get intrigued by my use of it, my art, ask questions, tell me stories, memories, children ask what is this machine, I love how it connects to people of all ages and backgrounds. It makes for a totally unique party element that gets everyone talking. I can create packages where I can either just turn up and type live, or where guests get to keep the originals I type for them, depending on your budget. Larger original works can be created ahead of a special event, for VIPs, for example and be presented on the night.

Live interactive murals where all ages can come together to create a piece are also a possibility and a really lovely way to unite everyone. I work to any budget and theme and always suggest a chat on the phone/zoom to discuss your event/idea as I have hundreds of previous events experience from high end events like Dubai Watch Week, to festivals and parties, launches, and simple street-typing and have tried and tested setups that work, but also always keen to try something different. Subjects I usually type are people (especially the eye), quick figures live at events, capturing a general scene, street scene, landmarks, buildings, landscapes, nature, objects, really anything you can think of.

I love to engage so people don't just watch a piece of art being constructed but we have deep conversations too.
