Our Story
My name is Lucy, and I’m the founder of Laoxa Ltd - a purpose-driven food and arts brand based in Tottenham.
Alongside running Laoxa, I’m also an unpaid carer, a responsibility that has deeply shaped how and why I build this business.
Laoxa was created from a desire to make spaces that feel welcoming, accessible, and rooted in care - where people can connect through food, creativity, and shared experience.
Our work is inspired by generations of Ghanaian home cooking, community storytelling, and the belief that creativity should be for everyone, not just a few.
Over time, Laoxa has grown into a multidisciplinary brand spanning soulful catering, edible art, creative rug tufting workshops, pop-ups, and interactive installations.
While food is often the entry point, the heart of what we do is about human connection, cultural pride, and creating moments people remember.
