I’m Maria Lara, an Italian private chef based in Tunbridge Wells, specialising in handmade pasta and authentic regional Italian cooking.
I cook for people who value food done properly — carefully sourced ingredients, traditional techniques, and meals prepared entirely from scratch. My work is focused on private dining, small gatherings, and special occasions where good food and a relaxed atmosphere matter.
My cooking is rooted in family tradition and the regional recipes I grew up with, with an emphasis on simplicity, balance, and flavour. Menus are tailored to each occasion, whether it’s an intimate dinner at home, a celebration with friends, or a gathering centred around sharing good food at the table or for a party.
I take care of everything from preparation to service, allowing hosts and guests to enjoy the experience without stress. All food is prepared in my council-inspected commercial kitchen, rated 5-star for food hygiene (latest inspection Oct 25), and cooked with the same care and standards I would expect in my own home.
