Penaluna's are an established Fish & Chip Shop, both shop and mobile are MSC certified, NFFF Quality Accreditation Holders, National Federation of Fish Friers members and NCASS members, included in the top 10 UK Fish & Chip Shops at the National Fish & Chip Awards for 7 consecutive years. We hold a 5 FHSR and carry out in-house training of our staff. For larger events and longer periods at an event we provide our own refrigerated trailer, allowing us to store food at the correct temperatures safely. Our aim is to provide quality Fish & Chips to the public. We can provide a variety of menu items to include specific items such as Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan, Please discuss your needs with us.

Penaluna's Famous Fish & Chips Originated in Hirwaun in 2006 The mobile Fish & Chip van cam along in 2017 The shop and van are MSC certified ensuring we suport the sustainable future of our fish stocks and use certifed MSC stock form fisheries and suppliers. The shop has won several Awards at the National Fish and Chip Awards including Training and Staff Development Sustainable Sourcing including Top 10 Fish and Chip shop in the UK on 3 occassions Winner of the top shop in Wales 2015 and 2018 following success at these events we were nominated by Seafish to engage with The Royal Mint to receive and distribute over £300 of the F coin in one of the promotions on National Fish & Chip Day, Seafood week winner for the Week long Seafood awareness. with the support of industry suppliers and NEODA we have supported National Fish & Chip Day since 2018 by giving away fish and chips, during Covid at several NHS hospitals and subsequently arranging with Cardiff City Council use of Roald Dahl Plass Cardiff Bay when in 2025 we give away a 1000 portions to the general public.
