Our Story
The three of us met working in one of the UK’s most high-end restaurant chains serving celebrities, CEOs, and cocktail connoisseurs who expected nothing less than perfection. The service was sharp, the cocktails refined, and the expectations sky-high. But even in that world of polished silverware and spotless bars, we kept coming back to one question:
What if we brought this level of service to real people, in real places?
You know that one person at every party who’s too busy running around to enjoy it? Yeah that used to be us. So we wanted to create a cocktail experience designed to flip the script. To let hosts be guests at their own party.
We knew we didn’t want to sound like just another bar. We wanted something with energy. With story. With mischief. Not polished. Not generic. Something with attitude. With history, something that stood out and actually felt like us.
So we looked back to one of the most iconic cocktail eras of all time: the Prohibition era when drinks were hidden, the parties were wild, and the best nights happened behind closed doors. That spirit of rebellion, creativity, and handcrafted cocktails spoke to everything we were about. You know… that cheeky, let’s-do-it-anyway energy? That’s exactly what we wanted to bring to the events world.
And as for Bootleggers?
Well, we might not be running moonshine across state lines but we are showing up in unexpected places, pouring premium cocktails with flair, and bringing the kind of energy people don’t forget. It had the attitude. It had the edge. So the name stuck.
We started a journey together fueled by ambition, wild ideas, and more 3 a.m. planning than we’d care to admit. We built it all from the ground up, with our own hands, our own tools, and our own time. Armed with nothing but shakers, spirits, and stories, we packed up the car and hit the road: excited, a little unsure, cautiously curious… but ready to see where this wild idea could take us.
We spent sleepless nights sketching bar layouts on scrap paper, tweaking cocktail menus until sunrise, hunting down the right glassware and premium spirits, testing setups in our back gardens, crafting signature drinks, packing and repacking gear, all in pursuit of the perfect balance between style and quality. And yes, we made a few mistakes along the way.
We over-prepared. We ran out of stock. We got rained on. We forgot the ice. We over-delivered and undercharged. We even showed up to the wrong venue (once... okay, twice). And still? We packed up, stayed up, cleaned up, and tried again, because we knew we were building something unforgettable.
Our first event? It was incredible. A beautiful garden party with a crowd of amazing ladies and a host who welcomed us like family. The moment the bar was set and the first drink left our hands, every fear faded. Years behind the bar kicked in. The nerves disappeared, instinct took over and just like that, we found our flow. The cocktails landed with confidence, the energy picked up, and the crowd lit up. It felt effortless, familiar like we were always meant to do this. And as for the host? Let’s just say we still think of her as family because in a way, this whole crazy adventure started with her.
That night, we didn’t just serve cocktails. We proved to ourselves that this idea had legs. And we haven’t looked back since.
Today, Prohibition Bootleggers is more than just a bar on wheels. It’s a roaming speakeasy. A show-stopping centerpiece. A trusted name for unforgettable events. From intimate garden gatherings to rooftop parties, brand launches, black-tie weddings, and full-on festival fields we’ve brought the buzz, set the mood, and turned ordinary spaces into something people still talk about.

With years of experience across hotels, pubs, restaurants, coffee houses, and clubs, Tomas has mastered the art of hospitality—one expertly crafted cocktail at a time. A true spirit-forward enthusiast, he’ll shake, stir, and pour everything from a bold Negroni to a perfectly balanced Daiquiri, but at the end of a long day, nothing beats an ice-cold beer followed by a well-earned whisky.
Eduard– The Bar Setup Specialist & Smooth Operator For Eduard, hospitality isn’t just a job—it’s in his DNA. Growing up in his parents’ restaurant, he found his passion for hosting, serving, and creating unforgettable experiences. Since then, he’s worked everywhere with a bar—from pubs and cafés to nightclubs, beach bars, and high-end restaurants. But the real highlight? Cruising the world, mixing drinks, and meeting people across Europe, the Caribbean, and the Americas.
Manu – The Speedy Shaker & Festival Flair-Master If bartending were an Olympic sport, Manu would be taking home the gold. With lightning-fast hands, agility that rivals a pro athlete, and the reflexes of a cat, he’s spent the last 10 years mastering the art of slinging drinks across nightclubs, festivals, cafés, beach bars, and restaurants. When it comes to drinks, Manu has two go-to favorites: the bold, citrusy kick of a Pisco Sour and the refreshing, sugarcane punch of a Caipirinha—both as full of character as he is. Whether he's shaking, muddling, or free-pouring, you can bet it's done fast and flawlessly.

These guys are amazing! They were a huge hit at my wife's 40th. We had Bootleggers come to our home so we could actually enjoy the evening instead of running around topping up drinks - and it worked perfectly! Service was spot on from start to finish. Tomas and his team brought everything - glasses, ice and a great looking bar - and served beers, wine and incredible cocktails all night. Everyone commented on how good they were and how great the cocktails tasted. Friendly, professional, punctual and fantastic value for money. We'll defiantly be booking them again!

Fantastic is not good enough bar was clean well stocked service was unbelievable they had there own glasses which they cleaned and collected thow the evening Staff was well dressed and very helpful and kind prices were good everyone at wedding said they was empress with the bar and have taken not of them for events Thank you for all your help

Exceptional bar service that caters for every need
Booked Prohibition Bootleggers for my wife's 40th birthday party and Prohibition Bootleggers made it a night to remember. Prior to the event I was able to organise which drinks would suit everyone best. They attended on the evening and served our guests with incredible cocktails and the party was made extra special.
