From our converted Rice Richardson horse trailer, we cook up skewers of Cornish Lamb, Free Range Chicken, Paneer (V) and Portobello Mushrooms (Ve) over blazing hot charcoal, each marinated in their own Indian spices.

Taking restaurant level dishes to the great outdoors, each protein choice is cut into bite size pieces and served in bowls of Saffron Rice, Sweetcorn 'Dhal', Salad and Minted Yogurt Sauce. Making Scratch Cook Indian BBQ the perfect handheld food option.

Each dish is well balanced in spices and if guests would like to turn up the heat, they can add freshly chopped green chilies and/or our signature Habanero Hot Sauce.

We really pride ourselves on using wholefoods and cooking everything from Scratch, with the best quality ingredients. For example our lamb which is supplied by Aubrey Allen butchers, has PGI status and is reared on Cornwall's granite-based pastures.

Raj, chef and founder of Scratch Cook BBQ, is bringing a new wave to event catering! Using authentic Indian flavours, Raj draws on his experience of working and living in different parts of the world to influence each of the dishes he creates. Underpinning this is a commitment to using whole food ingredients, ethically and naturally reared meats and ultimately, sharing his love and passion for all things cooked from scratch.

Scratch Cook Social was borne out of a desire to help people feel connected to their food, to their community and to the stories behind every meal, so that together we can create a sense of belonging. In 2025 we introduced a Scratch Cook Indian BBQ - our food truck - founded upon the same purpose with the additional element of offering Street food Without Compromise. No compromise; so whether it is indoor fine dining or outdoor casual food, we cook everything from scratch using whole ingredients and ethically sourced produce, blending North Indian heritage with global influences to create food that sparks connection, gratitude, and joy.

We provide catering solution for all types of events throughout the year. As our BBQ is self-contained within the trailer we can operate in nearly all weather conditions (hurricanes excluded!). We have experience in working with festivals, weddings, corporates and sporting events too.
